What I love most about design is how it can build a personality. No matter the medium, I like to imagine a project as a person: What are they like? How do they speak? What would make the right group of audience notice them? From there, I translate that personality into a visual language that feels distinct and recognizable.
A lot of my inspiration comes from small things I notice in everyday life, sometimes design-related and sometimes not at all. Films, exhibitions, books I find in independent bookstores, music, travel, and even things in nature often find their way back into my work. I like that the things I do when I’m not designing somehow become fuel for the next project.
I’m always curious about new ways of making things, whether that means working with screens, spaces, print, motion, or something I haven’t tried yet. I like letting each project lead me toward a different medium and seeing where it takes me.
